Mimulus

Mimulus hybrids are hybrids between Mimulus guttatus and Mimulus luteus. There are several groups of hybrids, but most of them produce plants with a tighter and neater habit than the wild species. They are perennial plants, but usually grown as annuals. The hybrids produce flowers in various shades of orange, red, pink and cream, as well as the yellow of their wild ancestors, sometimes with spotted throats and sometimes with plain flowers. They usually self-seed freely in a variety of colours.
