Lathyrus vernus

Lathyrus vernus is an unusual member of the pea family, in that it is not a bush or climber. It is deciduous, and in spring quickly forms a dense upright clump of bright green pointed pinnate leaves, followed by dense drooping spikes of small pink and white pea flowers. Useful for a shady or woodland spot.
