Meconopsis horridula

Meconopsis horridula is one of the Blue Poppies, mostly from the Himalayan region. It has a basal rosette of prickly leaves, giving rise to stems about 2' or so high, with a few drooping open-faced flowers in dark blue shot with purple. Like many of the blue poppies, it is monocarpic.
